Remember that new toy/tool — the trailer? I wasn’t sure why we needed it — but as it turns out — it’s VERY useful!
“How?” you ask.
It’s useful for bringing home more toys/tools! Why didn’t I see that coming?
“What new tool?” you ask.
A wood splitter, of course. Every farm needs one. We did go through a lot of fire wood last winter; and we do have an inexhaustible supply of dead trees around the property. Chris already has a chain saw, so the wood splitter was inevitable, I suppose. And then he got to use the trailer too! It’s a great day on the farm!

I understand those things are also handy for cutting through fruit cake.

Yes, but once it’s split, can I burn it in the fireplace? Because I’m definitely NOT eating it!

Very, very good idea. All you need now is a puppy to keep Chris company in the field

I keep telling him that; but he disagrees. Maybe he’ll listen to you.

Boys & their toys!
Oh and the puppy is a nice touch….just make sure it’s the non-shedding, hypo-allergy type, like a golden doodle or a labradoodle so your cousins can still come over for dinner, lol!

There in lies the problem — he’d like a Bernese Mountain dog (they are big and shaggy and slobber), but that’s not going to work!

We desperately need a trailer or truck. Things are getting interesting hauling stuff in the back of an SUV. Lol
